Solve TMJ Pain Without Surgery
Temporomandibular joint dysfunction other wise known as TMJ, is a painful disorder that causes the jaw to radiate pain down the jaw line, neck, shoulders arms and even ears. Millions of people have been diagnosed with TMJ and suffer from it daily.
Some clenching and grinding of the teeth, such as in a condition called Bruxism, are involved as the sufferer sleeps. The jaw may be locked so that you can barely open to even eat. If you go to the dentist complaining of jaw pain, he will be able to diagnose whether it is TMJ or not. If a TMJ diagnosis is given, he may advise surgery to correct the problem.
There is a way to solve TMJ pain without surgery however. Many times an alternative medical doctor will have ways that the patient can do certain exercise that will be relief for the pain of TMJ. These exercises for the jaw and tongue have even been known to cure TMJ.
TMJ pain can have several reasons for it to have been developed. Usually it is a disorder or malfunction of the way the chewing muscles and the jaw cooperate with each other. An accidental injury may have misaligned the joint. Sometimes there is no apparent reason at all for a person to develop TMJ. Bruxism or the grinding and clenching of teeth, has also been blamed as being the cause of TMJ.
If your dentist is advise that you have surgery to solve TMJ pain, make sure you get other opinions on the matter and more information on how to use alternate cures to solve TMJ pain. Using surgery to solve TMJ pain should be your last resort and there are really no grantees it will help. You can solve TMJ pain without surgery. You just have to find the right method that relieves the pain you.
